In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition
